We at park automotive understand that maintenance is key to reducing
the cost of your vehicle repairs.
Therefore, to protect your investment and for your safety, we
will do a visual inspection of your vehicle
when it is in for service and advise you of problems that are
starting to develop.
How often should I have my whole car “checked out”?
Our recommendation here is once per year, preferably 6 months
after your annual state inspection. By having a thorough check
up performed, many problems that develop between state
inspections can be avoided. The preventative maintenance inspection
that we perform is also much more in depth than the New York State
inspection requires. We inform you not only of specific problems
we see, but also of what service needs your vehicle may need in
the near future.
Some of the items checked during a Preventative Maintenance Inspection:
Lights Horn
Front Brakes Rear Brakes
Parking brake Brake Flex Hoses
Filters Spark Plugs
Ignition Wires Distributor Cap
Distributor Rotor Belts
Hoses Battery
Steering System Suspension
Drive Train Fluids
Tires Cooling System
Exhaust System Inspection Date
Of course different vehicle makes, models, and years may require
inspection of a few more items than are listed here and others
don’t have some parts mentioned here. Our PMI inspections
are done according to the vehicle requirements.
Preventative Maintenance Inspections provide very valuable information
to all drivers about the general condition and maintenance needs
of their vehicle. This is also an excellent option for a used
car buyer. Before a used vehicle is purchased, bring the vehicle
to us and have a qualified professional check it out for you.
